Elegant, spacious and beautifully equipped, The Fairings is a refurbished grade II listed cottage that settles in a quiet corner of St Ives just 15 minutes’ walk from the town’s centre. Amongst the home’s many assets are a sumptuous living room with huge granite inglenook fireplace and wood-burner, an open-plan kitchen/diner with slate flagstone flooring and full width bi-fold doors, and a large and lush garden with two paved sun terraces - all of which create the perfect place for glamorous gatherings and carefree multi-generational family holidays.

Set over two floors, guests can pick from four tastefully appointed bedrooms, all of which are light and airy with comfortable beds and gorgeous furnishings. A lovely twin lies on the first floor along with a shower room, while the remaining bedrooms which include a second twin, a king and the master en-suite can be found on the first floor, together with a fabulous family bathroom and its free-standing bathtub. The sociable open-plan kitchen/diner with its inviting snug has exposed granite walls and garden views so you can cook, eat and unwind in complete comfort, and glass doors leading out to the terrace and gardens make it the perfect space for indoor/outdoor entertainment.

Ideal for relishing this beautiful slice of the Cornish coastline, holidays at The Fairings centre around the coast. The South West Coast Path is just a 10-minute walk from the property, while Porthmeor Beach, the harbour and town centre are 20-minutes' walk. St Ives bustles with many lovely independent shops and galleries making it perfect for a day of exploring, and a fabulous foodie scene with a focus on local produce, means you can enjoy a delicious meal out at places like Source Kitchen and The Balcony Bar & Kitchen. Porthminster Beach is under 10 minutes’ drive (or less than half an hour is you choose to ditch the car during your stay), and the pretty streets of St Ives with its galleries, independent shops, restaurants and harbour are a 15-minute walk. The aquamarine waters and golden sandy beach at Carbis Bay are 10 minutes by car, along with a clutch of fashionable eateries, cocktail lounges and C Spa at the Carbis Bay Hotel.

    Security Deposit: We ask our guests for a £200 good housekeeping bond, which is pre-authorised against your card. This is in case there is any damage to the property during your stay. The money is simply reserved (held as a pending transaction) and then released afterwards if there is no damage or additional cleaning. This will be held on the card on file 7 days prior to your arrival.
    Pets: 2 pets allowed, £35 per pet per week, in line with our house rules we do ask that pets are not left alone in the property, do not use the furniture or go in the upstairs/bedroom areas
    Number of steps: 13 steps down from the car park and 2 from the front gate. 1 flight of internal stairs.
    Type of heating: Gas central heating
    Linen & Towels: Bed linen is provided for your stay, however, if you require use of the travel cot you will need to bring your own cot linen. Each guest will be supplied with one hand towel and one bath towel for their stay. (if your holiday is longer than 10 days, please contact the Luxury Coastal team to discuss a mid-stay linen change)
    Wi-Fi: This property offers free Wi-Fi for guests, however, we cannot guarantee the speed and connectivity. Therefore, if you are planning to work during your holiday, we recommend bringing a wifi dongle.

    Charcoal BBQ: Guests are asked to supply their own charcoal and firelighters

    The vast open-plan kitchen/diner features slate flagstone flooring and a seating area / snug with large sinkable three-seater sofa. Full width bi-fold doors lead outside to the paved terrace which in warm weather can be opened to extend the entertainment space outside
    The range of appliances includes a 5-ring gas hob with electric oven, an under-counter larder fridge and freezer, dishwasher, microwave, toaster, kettle, and a Bosch Tassimo pod coffee machine. The island and work surfaces are topped with polished granite

    The spacious Master bedroom is flooded with natural light and has its own en-suite shower room. French doors open out to a Juliet balcony with glass balustrade which overlooks the garden and terrace. Furnished with a king-size bed, bedside tables with lamps, a rattan bench at the end of the bed, a dressing table with upholstered stool, a mirror and a huge wardrobe space

    Bedroom Three (First floor)
    A delightful south-facing bedroom with sash window and exposed stone. Furnished with twin beds, a bedside table with lamp, a chest of drawers, an occasional chair and a mirror

    Bedroom Four (First floor)
    This large attractive bedroom features exposed granite with double south-facing sash windows. Furnished with a king-size bed, bedside tables with lamps, a dressing table, mirror, chest of drawers and an armchair as well as hooks for hanging clothes

    The beautifully maintained south-facing garden has gentle, sloping lawns and mature shrubs. The paved terrace is tiered with the upper level accessed via 5 steps. Here you’ll find a large dining table with seating for 8. Two sun-loungers are provided, as well as a charcoal BBQ which is stored in the outside shed. There is plenty of space to store bikes, wetsuits, boards and beach gear.

    Parking for two cars in the double carport which is accessed from Chy-An-Dour Close. Additional street parking is available on a first-come-first-served basis
