Step inside and discover a light and bright, beautifully furnished interior with all the home comforts you could ask for.
Three gorgeous bedrooms, a fabulous kitchen/diner, two bathrooms and a lovely large living room are all laid out over the home’s four floors, providing ample space for guest parties of six. Bifold doors from the kitchen/diner lead out to a walled courtyard that has an outdoor furniture set and from here, you can walk up to the roof terrace to unwind in the sunshine and enjoy those incredible sea and estuary views.
Fowey is a dream destination on Cornwall’s south coast. Famed for its connection to Daphne du Maurier and its featuring in some of her best-known novels, this exceptionally pretty maritime town with its beautiful beaches and unique atmosphere is the perfect place for relaxing coastal breaks. Just 50 yards from La Folie is Whitehouse Beach - a tidal beach with its newly refurbished 1920's children's sea pool (built on the rocks alongside the beach and next to the Polruan Ferry slip), which is a lovely spot for a paddle or a swim. The beach is also a good place to launch a kayak or SUP (It is close to the harbour and its traffic however so may not be suitable for beginners).

Good Housekeeping Bond or Accidental Damage Waiver
We ask our guests for a £200 Good Housekeeping Bond, pre-authorised against your credit card. This is in case there is any damage to the property during your stay. The money is simply reserved and then released afterward if there is no damage. We will contact you nearer the time of your arrival to arrange this.
Alternatively, a one-off, nonrefundable Accidental Damage Waiver of £30 can be added to your booking to replace the Good Housekeeping Bond and can be added as an extra when processing your booking

Number of steps: The key safe is accessed via 32 steps and the main front door is accessed via 20 steps, with 3 flights of stairs internally
Type of heating: Underfloor heating in the kitchen / diner and wet room with central heating throughout the rest of the house
Linen & Towels: Bed linen is provided for your stay, however, if you require use of the travel cot you will need to bring your own cot linen. Each guest will be supplied with one hand towel and one bath towel for their stay. (If your holiday is longer than 10 days, please contact the Luxury Coastal team to discuss a mid-stay linen change)
Wi-Fi: This property offers free Wi-Fi for guests, however, we cannot guarantee the speed and connectivity. Therefore, if you are planning to work during your holiday, we recommend bringing a Wi-Fi dongle.
Coffee Machine: De Longhi coffee pod machine, accepts original sized Nespresso pods which are not supplied
Smoking: All of our properties are non-smoking and we ask that any party member who smokes, do so off the premises.
Additional Extras: There is a cot and a high chair available upon request, as these are not stored at the property, please add them to your booking if required.

Parking
This property offers one allocated parking space at Squires Field (approximately 15 minutes walk). Guests will be provided with a permit (placed on the kitchen table for your arrival) which will need to be displayed in the window of the car

La Folie is the perfect house to stay in for a trip to Fowey! The house is beautifully finished inside, the beds were really comfy, good showers, kitchen very well equipped. The separate utility room with washer/dryer and room to dry clothes was a bonus. The outside balconies at both the front and back of the house were brilliant with great views out to sea. Being located on the esplanade is the perfect location to Readymoney beach and the shops. Couldnt recommend this house enough and we will definitely be back!

Large property over 4 floors. Lots of steps to the property and also inside. Upside down accommodation which gives you the best views. Good quality bedding and towels. Roof terrace. Ample kitchen appliances. Quiet location but within walking distance to loads of restaurants and nearby beach. Would recommend but not for people with disabilities or any walking problems due to the amount of stairs.

We love Fowey and being so central in La Folie was an added bonus. It's a 5 minute walk to the cafes, restaurants, bakery and coffee shops and of course the river. La Folie is a delightful house with the side door leading into the hallway, bright airy kitchen, fabulous underfloor heated bathroom with great shower and bath, main bedroom and then up the stairs to the beautiful living area with amazing views over the river to Polruan. There are two further bedrooms. Again an added bonus is the lovely slim balcony off the living area where even in November we took our hot drinks and pastries for a morning view over the river. It was a lovely place to spend our wedding anniversary.
