Rustic charm and elegant modernism seamlessly combine for a warm and inviting atmosphere throughout the interior, with features like exposed natural stonework and vaulted beams sitting alongside tastefully stylish furnishings and sumptuous décor.

Home to several luxurious living spaces, there is ample space to unwind in with the living room and den kept toasty by individual log burning stoves. A large contemporary farmhouse kitchen with dining table and seating makes the perfect place to prepare and share home cooked meals, while the glass-encased sun room with table and seating tempts sociable evenings of conversation or a board game or two. Three gorgeous double bedrooms, each with their own unique aspect of the landscape, mean guests can look forward to a deep and comfortable nights’ sleep followed by long and lazy morning lie-ins while the master bedroom with its Juliet balcony and en suite with stand alone bath tub creates a lavish sanctuary to retreat to after a days spent down on the beach or exploring the surrounding countryside.

Designed with entertaining in mind, the property’s outdoor space sprawls across four acre, with manicured lawns offering tons of space for children (and adults) to run free. Framed by wild flower beds and dotted with mature trees, the grounds offer shady spots to picnic under and a large patio area to enjoy alfresco dining. Pop open a bottle of bubbly and watch the sun set together, or steal yourself away to the magical summerhouse that nestles quietly at the far end of the estate for an hour of recluse, with spectacular views that stretch all the way to the Atlantic it's just one of the terrific features that make this home so special.

    Security Deposit: We ask our guests for a £400 good housekeeping bond, which is pre-authorised against your card. This is in case there is any damage to the property during your stay. The money is simply reserved (held as a pending transaction) and then released afterwards if there is no damage or additional cleaning. This will be held on the card on file 7 days prior to your arrival.

    Wi-Fi: This property offers free Wi-Fi for guests, however, we cannot guarantee the speed and connectivity. Therefore, if you are planning to work during your holiday, we recommend bringing a wifi dongle.
    Wood Burner: Wood is not provided, guests will need to bring their own if they require use of the wood burner.

Mowhay is a beautiful holiday accommodation. There’s so much space downstairs for family to gather but also have space to themselves. Bedrooms are lovely and master suite bathroom is great. The grounds are extensive , it’s a shame dogs aren’t accepted as would be great. The hot tub is a great addition especially as we had lovely weather. As the outside is so lovely it’s a shame no comfy seating is available , only the large wooden dinning table & chairs. I would also say there needs to be some BBQ tools to use and to be able to then clean with a BBQ brush or similar. The keys in the under stairs cupboard need sorting and better labelling it took us ages to try and find the key for the door to the barn steps, finally found in the back of a drawer in the bedroom ( this is a fire exit so needs to be kept in the door). other improvements would a few black bags for rubbish as only 1 left and toilet paper as only 2 in each bathroom would struggle if fully occupied with 8 people. I think as it’s marketed as a luxury level and priced as such, the welcome pack is poor compared with other rentals we have had. Other rentals at this price point have left , milk, bottle of wine, crusty loaf , pasta and sauce. The write up also says sea views from the summer house, I’d say possibly with binoculars! Also some people need to now there is a fairly well used road alongside the house for traffic noise in master bedroom. The furniture choices and decor are beautiful ,and provides a very comfortable stay.

I have raised all the points mentioned with the owners and property managers. We do apologise the keys were not kept in the correct space, we will ensure this is now checked on each changeover. There should have been enough bin bags left for you so we will ensure this is done going forward. The housekeeping team only leave 2 toilet rolls per bathroom to last the first few days, it is then up to guests to replenish as they are not supplied for the full duration of the stay. We do show the location of the property on the map being close to a road, but we will look to remove the sea views from the listing as the sea can only be seen from the summerhouse. Thank you for raising these points, the owners strive to constantly improve the house each year and rely on the housekeeping team to maintain our high standards. We found Mowhay Barn a delight to enjoy a family holiday. Quality throughout, most comfortable rooms & everything you could need whilst there. Close proximity to great Cornish locations & dinning opportunities near by! Only two negatives for us, the barn is very close to a busy road so the constant traffic noise both in the garden & in the bedrooms took some getting use to! Dissapointing not to receive a welcome pack!

This was our second stay at Mowhay Barn and we had a glorious stay with lovely warm weather The house is so comfortable and with everything you need and the spacious grounds which are kept very tidy gives lots of space for the grandchildren to play in. we did experience a new colony of honey bees arriving at the house too. We informed the company and it was dealt with quickly-apparently due to Cornwall not cutting back the grass/flower sides/borders of the roads and fields-looked very pretty thanks you
