Overview
Three comfortable bedrooms and two bathrooms make the cottage ideal for families, with a large sitting room and wood burner stove creating a wonderful space to relax and unwind in. At the heart of the property you’ll find a well-equipped kitchen complete with its original Cornish range cooker, perfect for preparing a home-cooked feast, and a games room with small snooker table that will keep all of the family entertained during their stay.
The wonderful views of St Michael’s Mount can be enjoyed from the sun room and upstairs patio that leads off of the master bedroom, as well as from the outdoor dining area tucked away at the bottom of the enclosed garden – a great spot to enjoy a meal or two al fresco.
Marazion is a charming seaside town with quaint streets, narrow pavements, pretty cottages and historic buildings. The town's main beach has golden sands that stretch for nearly a mile and the water here offers fantastic conditions for sailing, paddle-boarding, kayaking and kite surfing.

Pets: Two pets are allowed at this property at a charge of £40 per pet per stay/week. If you are bringing your dog along with you, please ensure that you pick up mess after them and don’t allow them on the beds and furniture. It’s worth bringing a few blankets and all of their bits and bobs to make sure they’re settled. We also ask that dogs are not left unaccompanied in the property at any time.
Number of steps: Externally there are steep stairs which have a handrail on one side and a wall the other side. Internally there are one flight of stairs.

Linen: Bed linen is provided for your stay, however, if you require use of the travel cot you will need to bring your own cot linen. Each guest will be supplied with one hand towel and one bath towel for their stay. (if your holiday is longer than 10 days, please contact the Luxury Coastal team to discuss a mid-stay linen change)
Wi-Fi: This property offers free Wi-Fi for guests; however, we cannot guarantee the speed and connectivity. Therefore, if you are planning to work during your holiday, we recommend bringing a wifi dongle.

Trevara is a charming coastal cottage with a magnificent view of St Michaels Mount from the garden and the main bedroom. It is one of the most well equipped accommodations we have stayed in. The cottage is very long and appears to be several cottages joined together. This gives plenty of space for everyone although it does mean that the configuration upstairs is unusual. The cottage was very clean and linens and towels were of great quality. The garden is a good size and overlooks a beautiful bay. Location is 5 star. There are two fairly steep staircases that may not be ideal for those with mobility difficulties. The second bathroom is really only accessible from the smallest bedroom unless you are happy to walk through someone elses bedroom or come down one set of stairs and back up the second staircase at the end of the property. We made it work but it might not be ideal for some groups. I have rated the condition as a 3 out of 5 because some of the furniture and decor upstairs could do with an update. Lastly, the parking is a real challenge as Praeds Lane is very narrow (circa 2m wide at one point). It can be done but we found it very stressful and I wouldnt recommend it for a larger vehicle at all. We used the long stay parking by the mount instead for 65GBP for the week. A small price not to scratch my car! However, this did mean a 15 min walk to the car when we wanted to pop out which wasnt ideal. Because of the parking situation we wouldnt return despite the wonderful setting.

Great location but definitely not a luxury cottage - seen better days

We stayed here in April. The location is fantastic, however we booked through Luxury Coastal and this definitely isn't a luxury cottage. It felt unloved and was pretty grubby throughout, the kitchen and bathrooms in particular need a deep clean and downstairs had quite an unpleasant smell. The kitchen bin was horrid, I don't think it's ever been cleaned and it very quickly became apparent that this appeared to be the source of an ant problem in the kitchen so nothing could be left out on the counter tops. The fridge and freezer were dirty inside and out as was the tiled flooring. In the bathroom the fixtures and fitting in the showers have seen better days, and as in the kitchen the flooring needs a deep clean. The bedrooms are basic, and the bed linen smelled quite musty (there appeared to be a bag of clean linen in the outside shed so that might be why). The furniture has seen better days with cup marks on bedside tables etc. We arrived the week after Easter and I found several mini eggs wrapped in tin foil dotted around presumably from an Easter egg hunt the week before - they were hidden in plain site so really should have been spotted by the cleaning staff. All of the paint work is due to be redone, and in my bedroom the windows were so poorly fitted/maintained that the curtains blew even when the windows were shut. The windows were also dirty throughout the house and in the main bedroom there was so much condensation sometimes that you couldn't see the views. It could be a lovely place but at the moment it's just sad and unloved. Outside the patio furniture and the balcony itself haven't been looked after and it doesn't make you want to sit outside, even with the glorious view. Although I appreciate the majority of what you pay for here is the location, we would happily have found something smaller elsewhere for a similar price but which could provide the luxury feel promised in the details. It was really disappointing. Luxury Coastal need to give this property a proper inspection. We found the stay incredibly disappointing, the details online need to be more realistic, the amount we paid was a great deal of money for us and the cottage just didn't deliver which put a bit of a pall over our week. In the interests of full transparency and in fairness to the owners we did not contact anyone about the issues at the time because really none of it was something that someone could pop over and fix in a couple of hours, the cottage has been allowed to get run down and that's not a quick fix. I just think the description of the property should reflect reality. (The form here makes you put a score for customer service which we can't really rate as we didn't test it so I've gone middle of the road with 3). Happy to provide pictures to the owner (including one of a slug crawling along the bathroom window sill - on the inside).

What a wonderful place, hidden away from the bustle but so easy to get to all that Marazion has to offer. The cottage itself was lovely, it has a great quirkiness about it which comes from its history. Lovely master bedroom and the roof terrace was wonderful, it was a cold February stay but the sun came out one day so we enjoyed a glass of wine overlooking St Michaels Mount. The two twin rooms were also lovely. The bathrooms were also great, good powerful showers and nice and warm. The log burner in the lounge was so lovely on the cold nights and made the place so cosy! We came in February to blow the cobwebs away and Cornwall didnt let us down but it stayed dry so good for exploring the coast but if it had been wet the cottage would be perfect for cosy films or a game of pool in the games room. I didnt use the parking as I had walked up to check it out having read it was tight. Suggest doing that if visiting and only trying it if you are sure, parking bin the long stay is a small price to pay for a stay in an authentic Cornish hideaway.
