Overview
A luxury retreat set over three floors, this home has recently undergone an extensive refurbishment so along with its array of modern features, you’ll find all the old-world charm of a traditional St Ives period cottage. Beautiful bay windows boasting vintage glass panes frame the modern living space where contemporary seating offers a fantastic area to unwind in, and the open plan dining room is the perfect spot for sharing meals or discussing the day’s plans over breakfast. On wet-weather-days guests can indulge in a movie or watch their favourite sports channel on one of the home’s four smart TV's (which are spread throughout the property), and a cosy loft snug means both adults and children get to enjoy their own space.
A fully fitted kitchen and separate utility means the house is a perfect for entertaining in, and on warm days the private roof terrace with hot tub is ideal for drinks in the sunshine or summery evening gatherings. Four elegant bedrooms, all with sumptuous linen and soft furnishings, create quiet spaces to retreat to after days spent exploring the coast, and the spacious new master en-suite with large rainfall shower and a free-standing bath, is a gorgeous sanctuary for couples or parents in need of their own privacy. (Additional sleeping for two can be found in the main living room where one of the sofas converts to a high quality double bed)
Centrally located, there are art galleries and boutique shops mere metres from the front door, and guests with dogs in tow have *St Ives Harbour Beach just two minutes walk away. Further along is the lesser-known but blissfully dog-friendly *Bamaluz Beach; which is frequented mainly by locals and is a great space for four legged companions to stretch their legs.

Alternatively, a one-off, nonrefundable Accidental Damage Waiver of £30 can be added to your booking to replace the Good Housekeeping Bond and can be added as an extra when processing your booking.

There are two small enclosed gravel courtyards located on the ground floor. One is accessed via the kitchen and one just past the surf shower room. Ideal for letting the dog out or for hanging wet suits to dry after the beach
A secluded suntrap private terrace accessed via the master bedroom. It has a raised deck with an electric hot tub, and a lower area which is furnished with a rattan table and chairs -
Parking
Guests have use of a private parking space at St Ives Rugby Club, a 5 minute drive or 15 minute walk from the property. For additional cars, parking is available in several local car parks.
Station Car Park which is a 3 minute walk from the property is the closest (local charges apply).
Weekly permits can be bought (for cars only) through Pay By Mobile app, which permit parking in Station, Barnoon Long Stay, Island, Park Avenue and Penwith. Permit details and up to date costs can be found be found through the local council website

Please note that as this is a character property, there are open tread stairs from the ground floor to the first floor. Also the staircase from the first to the second floor has a rope barrier on the hallway side. Images of both can be viewed in the gallery.
Azenor does have a motion sensor Ring Doorbell, for security reasons, this is usually activated when the property is empty.

It could be the beautiful light that’s attracted artists to the resort for generations, the cobbled streets and coastal views…or that feeling of being a world away from the hustle and bustle. Azenor couldnt be any nearer the centre of St Ives if you tried. We had 8 and a baby staying for one week. Having stayed in St Ives several times we knew it was going to be good and it was fantastic. The house was beautiful and the envy of people walking past. There is a bit of construction going on during weekdays around the house, but that didnt affect us at all. Just a couple of things to note which are also clearly stated in the owners description. The free car park space is 15 minutes walk, up hill. Other cars in our group parked in the station car park which was a 2 minutes walk and about £33 for the week. The hot tub cover is a 2 person job to remove safely. . The owners answered our questions about the property facilities straight away. Beach chairs and parasol are provided to use during your stay. We loved Azenor and would love to stay again

We stayed here as a family of 6 over the October Half term. I often find that photos of holiday rentals dont live up to the reality, but thats not the case with Azenor. Its spacious and very well kept. We had a couple of unavoidable maintenance issues during our stay, but the property owner was incredibly responsive and the issues were resolved really quickly. The owner is super friendly as well and keen to ensure everything is perfect. We have been holidaying in St Ives for over 30 years. I have never stayed in the same property twice. But Im hoping that changes now as this house ticks all our boxes! Azenor will definitely be our go-to 1st preference for our future stays in beautiful St Ives.

The house was fine and we would rate at 9 out of 10 But the internet on arrival was not working and even though Matt attempted a repair this was not the best and caused issues. We were told there was internet issues the week before and when pushed they then came back to say the internet provider has cancelled the contract and there was no internet. There is no phone signal inside the property and normally we would connect to the internet to boost the signal that could not be done. So we could not book restaurants on line or call anyone from inside the house. We are also trying to complete a house sale and we were awaiting important information. I called and e-mailed numerous occasions and to be honest i don't think anyone was that interested.

Hi Peter, Thank you for leaving us a review. I am pleased that you would rate the property high as it is a lovely space to stay in! Unfortunately as you have mentioned, there was an issue with the Wi-Fi provider, where they had cancelled the contract a week before it was due to end- there was a new provider in place to start on the contract end date. The Local Contact was able to bring you a booster which needed to be in a certain area to gain Wi-F, however they did confirm that this was working after every visit. I am glad that they did come out a few times during your stay to re-position the booster so that you were able to have Wi-Fi for most of your stay. I do apologise if you felt as if no one was interested, we do feel like the Local Contact did try their best to resolve this issue. We are sorry that this unexpected issue had occurred during your stay. I hope that we are able to welcome you back to stay with us again and to have a better experience.
