Overview

Old world opulence meets modern day luxury in this fantastic celebration home.

Situated within 30 acres of mature gardens on the Caerhays Estate in Gwennap near Redruth, the setting is a magical one with floral sprays in the warmer months infusing the grounds with vibrancy and colour, and lush, grassy areas providing the perfect place to laze the afternoons away. Meandering woodland paths and pretty ponds offer children and grown-ups a tranquil outdoor space to explore with your canine companions in tow, and a large level lawn to the front of the house invites guests to brush up on their croquet skills or engage in a friendly game of cricket.

Enjoying wonderful views from each of its large sash window, the house is bright and airy with high ceilings, period-inspired décor, unique artwork and stylish furnishings adding an atmospheric elegance throughout the home’s interior. The reception rooms of Burncoose House are large and welcoming and include a dining room to seat up to 16 guests as well as a spacious well-appointed kitchen with breakfast table. The beautifully decorated drawing room includes a large sofa and armchairs to curl up on; making for the ideal place to relax or for catching up on a favourite book, while open fires in the reception rooms keep the house cosy in the cooler months.

Seven sophisticated bedrooms provide sleeping for up to 14 guests and have been designed with complete comfort in mind. Spacious and utterly gorgeous with sumptuous mattresses, luxurious linens and fluffy white robes, they include their own en-suite bathrooms each with a bath, shower cubicle and underfloor heating.

Entertainment is central to life at Burncoose, and in addition to the property’s ample outdoor space there is a well-stocked library to peruse as well as a garden conservatory with disco ball and sound system, for unforgettable family parties. Table tennis is also provided, and this can be set up either in the spacious rear hall or the courtyard while a bubbling hot tub with candles and LED lighting is ideal for a relaxing soak at any time of the day.

Avid gardeners will love a visit to the world-famous Burncoose nurseries that can be found on the estate, and for days out that include water-based adventure and activities both the River Fal and Stithians Lake are within easy reach of the property.

Please note that if you do not require the hot tub for your stay in 2024, you can save £150. Please enter the following voucher code NOHOTTUBBC24 for a 2024 arrival date during the booking process.

Welcome to Redruth

Situated in the heart of a World Heritage Site, Redruth was once little more than a small market town but saw a massive boom in the demand for copper during the 18th and 19th centuries; the evidence of which can be seen in the many opulent commercial buildings and landmarks that line its streets.
