Overview

With cobbled, cottage-lined streets and dreamy white sand beaches hugging its bay, St Ives is all you could ask for from an idyllic seaside escape.

Arranged over two floors, the cottage’s three airy bedrooms can be found upstairs along with a contemporary family shower room. On the ground floor there’s a fabulous open plan living room with whitewashed stone walls, a roomy sofa, a large plasma TV, and a wood-burning stove. The lower ground floor kitchen / diner flows off the living area to create the home’s cooking and entertainment space. The cottage’s fully enclosed courtyard garden is accessed from the kitchen and is furnished with a dining suite and charcoal barbecue. Here, guests can cook, feast and entertain in the sunshine, or enjoy evening drinks and conversation as the sun sets over St Ives. There’s also a handy outside shower with hot water for a quick de-sanding after the beach, or for a full freshen up, a second family bathroom on the ground floor with shower and bath.

A minutes walk from the harbour and just three minutes from Porthmeor Beach, guests can enjoy a completely car-free getaway if they choose. Numerous restaurants, bars, cafes and shops are just a stone’s throw away too which means you’ll have the best of the town on your doorstep during your stay. The famous Tate St Ives and Barbara Hepworth Museum & Sculpture Garden are fascinating places to visit too if you’re interested in local artists and their work. Within a short walk along the coast path or via a scenic train ride, is Carbis Bay. Or if you fancy exploring by car, Porthkidney Sands and Hayle are around twenty minutes by car, while Mounts Bay with its landmark St Michael’s Mount, is just under half an hour.

    Security Deposit: We ask our guests for a £150 good housekeeping bond, which is pre-authorised against your card. This is in case there is any damage to the property during your stay. The money is simply reserved (held as a pending transaction) and then released afterwards if there is no damage or additional cleaning. This will be held on the card on file 7 days prior to your arrival.
    Pets: 1 pet allowed, £25 per week, in line with our house rules we do ask that pets are not left alone in the property, do not use the furniture or go in the upstairs/bedroom areas

    Linen & Towels: Bed linen is provided for your stay, however, if you require use of the travel cot you will need to bring your own cot linen. Each guest will be supplied with one hand towel and one bath towel for their stay. (If your holiday is longer than 10 days, please contact the Luxury Coastal team to discuss a mid-stay linen change)
    Wi-Fi: This property offers free Wi-Fi for guests, however, we cannot guarantee the speed and connectivity. Therefore, if you are planning to work during your holiday, we recommend bringing a Wi-Fi dongle.

    Wood burner: Enough logs for the first fire are provided
    Charcoal BBQ: Guests are asked to supply their own charcoal and firelighters
    Smoking: All of our properties are non-smoking and we ask that any party member who smokes, do so off the premises.

    The contemporary kitchen is open plan with the living / dining area and features granite worktops and a range of large and small appliances which include an induction hob, electric single fan-assisted oven and grill, fridge/freezer, wine cooler, dishwasher, kettle, cafetiere, toaster, microwave, washer/dryer, iron and ironing board.
    A selection of glasses, cutlery, crockery, cookware and utensils is provided

    All three bedrooms are on the upper floor and have duck feather duvets and pillows

    Doors from the kitchen/diner lead out to a fully enclosed courtyard garden with stairs that lead up to a gate. Guests can walk from here down a little lane to the beach
    This area is furnished with a table and chairs as well as a charcoal BBQ, and there’s an outdoor shower with hot water
  • Parking
    This property offers an allocated space in the car park of a house called Verbena on Orange Lane which is 5 minutes’ walk away. The space is clearly numbered and named for Serendipity guests
    The long stay Island Car Park is 2 minutes’ walk from the property but please note that this car park is very popular so space availability is limited during the busier months.
