Peaceful, private and just a short walk from Watergate Bay beach. The Hayloft is an outstanding property that has everything you could wish for from a coastal holiday retreat. Beautifully designed and meticulously thought-out, the attention to detail here is fantastic (even the hairdryers are top-notch)…offering guests a truly special place to unwind in one of Cornwall’s loveliest coastal spots.

Completely self-sufficient, the property’s power is generated from privately owned wind turbines on the farm where it's located. A woodburner in the living room heats the open plan space with amazing efficiency so even on the coldest days, you’ll feel toasty and warm. Brew a cuppa, put your feet up and take in the far-reaching views of farmland and countryside before heading out to wander the coast path down to the beach.

Designed to perfectly compliment the surrounding landscape, The Hayloft has an attractive traditional stone exterior and oodles of outdoor space for fresh air dining and relaxation. You’ll find a hot water shower and tap outside too so if you or your dogs need to clean off after your muddy / sandy escapades you can do so in comfort.

Set over two floors, both the bedrooms and family shower room can be found on the ground floor. Upstairs, the pitched double volume ceilings and exposed timber trusses give a light and airy atmosphere with large glass doors at the far end opening to a glazed, Juliet balcony showcasing the patchwork landscape and Cornish sky beyond.

Trebelsue is a working farm, and guests at The Hayloft are offered the opportunity to explore the grounds including a pen opposite the property where a handful of its rare-breed sheep are kept.

Good Housekeeping Bond or Accidental Damage Waiver
We ask our guests for a £150 Good Housekeeping Bond, pre-authorised against your credit card. This is in case there is any damage to the property during your stay. The money is simply reserved and then released afterward if there is no damage. We will contact you nearer the time of your arrival to arrange this. 
Alternatively, a one-off, nonrefundable Accidental Damage Waiver of £30 can be added to your booking to replace the Good Housekeeping Bond and can be added as an extra when processing your booking.
Pets: 2 pets allowed, £40 per pet per week, in line with our house rules we do ask that pets are not left alone in the property, do not use the furniture or go in the bedroom areas.
Number of steps: 2 external steps and a set of internal stairs.
Type of heating: Central heating.
Linen & Towels: Bed linen is provided for your stay, however, if you require use of the travel cot you will need to bring your own cot linen. Each guest will be supplied with one hand towel and one bath towel for their stay. (If your holiday is longer than 10 days, please contact the Luxury Coastal team to discuss a mid-stay linen change)
Wi-Fi: This property offers free Wi-Fi for guests, however, we cannot guarantee the speed and connectivity. Therefore, if you are planning to work during your holiday, we recommend bringing a Wi-Fi dongle.
Woodburner: Yes, one basket of logs is provided.
BBQ: Yes, charcoal is provided.

Smoking: All of our properties are non-smoking and we ask that any party member who smokes, do so off the premises.

Perfect location for a luxury break

We've been coming here for three years now as coastal breaks in the UK don't get any better than this. The location is perfect - the property is a short walk to Watergate Bay with it's beautiful beach, cafe and restaurant and surf shop. There are so many other beaches a short drive away, they are all clean, well maintained and dog friendly. At the end of the lane there's a campsite with a fantastic barn restaurant that's well worth a visit. The holiday property is first class, it's a barn conversion with modern, good quality facilities, beautiful decor and amazing views across the countryside. The outside space is really good for dog owners and surfers, with outdoor shower and towel/wetsuit hanging space as well as deckchairs, bench seating etc for relaxing or dining outdoors. The combination of comfort, clean and modern facilities and ideal location make this the perfect coastal holiday.

A quiet, cosy and sunny stay

The Hayloft was perfect. Close to the sea but also perfectly secluded in the countryside. The views were stunning. The hayloft had all we needed for a lovely stay. Helen and Pete were very welcoming and helpful. The proximity to watergate bay (15 min walk) was perfect for what we wanted, and if the walk felt to far we could park closer in the farmers field car park for free as guests are Hayloft. Would stay again.

Wow, what an incredible gem nestled in the beautiful countryside. The Hayloft is such a beautiful home and we had the most enjoyable Christmas here. No expense has been spared with a great quality kitchen space and great quality appliances. So many lovely touches around the home with nothing amiss to make our stay so homely. It was absolutely spotless, the beds were exceptionally comfy and a great shower. Helen was on hand if needed too, and super helpful when required too. A lovely walk down to Watergate Bay and an easy drive into Newquay and other beautiful places around Cornwall. The Christmas tree was also a lovely touch, thank you for a memorable stay.

A Perfect Place for a Winter Holiday at the Coast

The Hayloft was perfect. A beautiful property tucked in a secluded spot with great country views. We loved reading about the family farm and the history behind it all. Location wise, it couldn't be better for exploring Watergate bay, Newquay, Mawgan Porth, and further afield. The log burner provided the cosiest setting for the wilder weather days! We would definitely visit again, and appreciated the little touches left in the property for us, and our labrador. Thank you!

Perfect coastal holiday

This is the perfect place to go for a coastal holiday, especially if you have dogs. Watergate Bay is a short walk away and many other dog friendly beaches are a short drive away. The accommodation is superb. The living space is on the upper level with floor to ceiling windows that look out over the beautiful Cornish countryside. It's beautifully furnished and well equipped, the thoughtful owners provide all the essentials you might need such as cleaning and washing products and also a lovely gift tray of local treats. It's on a working farm, so expect some farmyard noises from time to time! Overall though it's a very peaceful spot. Highly recommend thebarnatcoastalvalley.com for food, a short walk from the accommodation on a nearby campsite.

A Perfect Dog-Friendly Escape Peaceful, Stylish, and Close to the Beach

We absolutely loved our stay at this beautiful holiday home. From the moment we arrived it felt like a true home away from home. The house was spotlessly clean, modern and thoughtfully designed with everything we needed for a relaxing break. Its hard to find genuinely dog friendly places but this one is a gem. The outdoor space felt safe and secure, giving our dogs the freedom to enjoy themselves while we soaked in the peaceful countryside views. Waking up to the sight of farm animals just beyond the garden was such a treat. Idyllic and grounding. The bed was extremely comfortable with high quality linens which made for a great nights sleep after long beach walks. Despite its secluded and peaceful location, the beach was only a two minute drive or a short walk away, making it easy to enjoy the best of both coast and countryside. We couldnt have asked for more. Clean, comfortable, quiet and welcoming. An ideal escape for both humans and their four legged friends. Well definitely be back.

The Hayloft was spotlessly clean. Everything you could possibly need and more was provided. Attention to detail was impressive and a lovely welcome pack too. Weve been coming to Cornwall for over 40years and the Hayloft is one of the nicest places we have stayed. Fantastic position, countryside views and short walk to a lovely beach. Our dog enjoyed watching the ducks waddling past everyday! Farmer very friendly, and congratulations to his wife for the lovely decor and design of the Hayloft. We will be back. Have recommended it to all friends and family. We had a superb week.

Best stay Ive ever had

This takes the cake for the single best stay Ive ever. The cottage was impeccably clean, the decor was perfect, the kitchen was clean, big and well stocked. The living area was very cosy with a nice corner sofa with a very long chaise at one end. My dog had a great time playing in the huge front garden. There are two front gardens. The inner front garden is fully enclosed, making it safe to let your dog out. The outer garden is gigantic, and has a carport to keep your car relatively dry in the rain. It was so refreshing to step out the front door and be met with a massive front garden and green valleys in the distance. The owners left a bowl of water for my dog, which he promptly lapped up, and a jar full of dog treats. What a nice gesture! Ive stayed at a great many places and AirBnBs, and this is easily the most premium experience Ive had. And all for a non-premium price! The only criticism I have is that it was difficult to find the place in the dark, and the directions arent intuitive. We actually passed by the place and left, thinking it belonged to someone else.

Beautiful barn

If you are surfing at Watergate Bay, look no further. Just up the hill from the Bay, (so avoid the crowds) drive/walk down in your wetsuit, surf, hop back in the car, 1 minute you are back at home. Enjoy the shower outside (warm) and the collapse in comfort over a cuppa, looking out over rolling hills Bliss. This is a working farm so you get farm noises.
