Overview

Ideal for a family of four, there are two light and airy bedrooms, a comfortable double and a twin, as well as an open plan living / dining room, family bathroom and separate well-equipped kitchen. A beautiful bay window in the living area offers one of the best views in Cornwall, so guests can enjoy St Michael’s Mount in all its glory whether dining, cooking or relaxing.

The apartment has its own parking space but is so conveniently situated within the town that unless travelling out of the area, you won’t have much need for a car (*especially now that the local bus service tickets are just £5.00 per day for all routes within the county!). The South West Coast Path lies close by and connects Marazion to Penzance along a flat two mile seafront walk with spectacular panoramas over Mounts Bay, The Lizard and Mousehole. In the autumn, the Bird Reserve attracts rare migrants which is fascinating to see and highly recommended if you’re a fan of wildlife.

Marazion Beach which lies on the property’s doorstep, is perfect for bucket and spade days with children, but equally brilliant if you’re a watersports enthusiast. Several beach-based water sports companies offer equipment hire and lessons so whether you’re a seasoned pro or simply looking to enjoy time out on the water, you’ll be able to SUP, kayak or windsurf to your heart’s content. Further afield and easily reached by car, the nearby paths around La Morna Cove and Tater-du Lighthouse offer wonderful walks and stunning scenery while the Minack Theatre at Porthcurno is a great day out for visitors both young and old.

Location is excellent. View from bay window and kitchen lovely. Parking was important to us and being able to view our bikes was ideal.

Flat in need of TLC!

On the plus side, a wonderful view out to Mounts Bay, and a designated parking place. But the flat itself was in need of attention. There were signs in both bedrooms of major problems with damp, and the main bedroom had a patch of mould on one wall. A bathroom rack fell off the wall when a towel was put on it, and water was seeping in under some tiles in the kitchen. The shower coil and head needed a good scrub. No hairdryer, which is very unusual these days, and very frugal supply of kitchen basics - one j.cloth for the week, one towel-cum-teatowel, no kitchen roll, etc. Probably the Welcome brochure said it all - lots of handwritten amendments dating back over 2 years, which no-one had bothered to retype. The place just had an uncared for feel to it.

An excellent location to explore south Cornwall. The property was very comfortable and provided all the necessary amenities. It was nice to receive welcome scones and tea. Would definitely stay again.

Very comfortable stay here , bed a tad small but comfortable, views overlooking St Michele Mount are lovely. Perfect place to stay and visit other places from here . If you want to surf its an ideal location. You can watch the surfers from the living room window. The weather wasnt great but we had a nice time there . Comes with a parking space, which is good , and its only a minute walk to the beach. Highly recommended.

The property was to a good standard, however the reason for booking this particular property was the views, unfortunately this was blocked due to the scaffolding and boards to the front of the building, also the lavatory had an issue flushing, very poor water flow, the fact that I'm a retired engineer was an easy fix, and there was a very smelly mop in the corner of the bathroom, that's the negatives. Positives, the property is well appointed and clean, the agent notified us that the scaffolding would be removed on the Wednesday, which it was, the fully appointed kitchen had everything we required, the beds were very comfortable.

Lovely view...expensive for what it is though

Not as luxurious as the write up but great location and views. A small number of things not working (wine cooler, lights under kitchen cabinets), a very uncomfortable double bed and a few hitches with Luxury Coastal (incorrect phone numbers given) but all in all, a pleasant stay...despite the oven door exploding on our 3rd night there. Pretty expensive for what it is and it wasn't even proper 'peak' but I guess that's standard these days ???
