With an interior to envy, the owners’ passion for creating beautiful spaces is evident in the home’s unique styling, furnishings and colour palette which strike just the right balance between elegance and practicality.

The cottage with its whitewashed walls and muted naturals has an ethereal charm about it and is laid out over three floors. French-inspired furniture, reclaimed weathered planks and stripped floorboards sit alongside original period features like sash windows, fireplace lintels and chunky reveals. There are cosy spaces to retreat to and welcoming spaces to come together in, including a gorgeous, fully equipped first floor kitchen, and the living area with its log-burner and views of both the sea and St Michaels Mount.

Three bedrooms including a master king, twin room and single as well as a large family bathroom with decadent roll top bath mean there’s plenty of space for a party of five guests. Outside, a tiled Mediterranean-esque courtyard garden with pots, planting, table and seating is where you’ll be able to soak up the Cornish sunshine, and the outdoor shower with hot water is perfect for washing away the Marazion Beach sand after a day spent building sandcastles, sunbathing or paddle boarding.

Ideally placed within the village and on the coast, there are a selection of wonderful beaches to explore both on the doorstep and further afield including Perranunthnoe, Sennen and Prussia coves, Carbis Bay and Porthcurno. A wealth of coastal paths and walks in the area offer plenty of opportunity to relish some of the most spectacular sea and landscape views including those of St Michaels Mount, while within the village are an abundance of independent shops, art galleries and restaurants.

Security Deposit: We ask our guests for a £150 good housekeeping bond, which is pre-authorised against your card. This is in case there is any damage to the property during your stay. The money is simply reserved (held as a pending transaction) and then released afterwards if there is no damage or additional cleaning. This will be held on the card on file 7 days prior to your arrival.
Pets: 2 pets allowed, £25 per pet per week, in line with our house rules we do ask that pets are not left alone in the property, do not use the furniture or go in the upstairs/bedroom areas

The room which has views out to St Michael’s Mount, has a wood burning stove and armchair which sit beneath a large sash window with weather boards for shutters. A window seat makes for the perfect spot for catching up on your holiday reading

Open plan with the living room and dining rooms, the beautiful kitchen features plenty of work top space and a Belfast sink with shelves that are stocked with glassware, crockery and utensils. A range of pots, pans, and cutlery are provided as well as a music system and DAB radio
Appliances include a fridge, freezer, dishwasher, microwave, electric hob, fan-assisted oven and grill as well as a kettle, toaster, cafetiere, iron, ironing board and vacuum cleaner

*The cottage's washing machine is located in the washroom off the outside courtyard

Located on the ground floor this charming room is furnished with a king size bed, side tables with reading lamps and a stand-alone wardrobe, tall chest of drawers, dressing table with matching chair and mirror. A fireplace with electric fire and ornamental pelmet add a touch of French flamboyance, with double doors leading to the outside courtyard

Situated on the ground floor this lovely room is furnished with twin beds, a bedside table with lamp, a dresser with mirror and chair, and a freestanding wardrobe

Located on the first floor this delightful room with whitewashed floorboards and eclectic collection of vintage mirrors features a single bed, bedside table, stand-alone wardrobe, hooks for hanging space and a chest of drawers.

Located on the ground floor the family bathroom has a wonderful enamel roll top bath, large walk-in shower, with rainfall shower head and handheld shower attachment, a hand basin, WC, heated towel rail, shaver point, cabinet and mirror

A beautiful, private two-level courtyard garden lies to the back of the cottage. The upper level is furnished with an outdoor dining table, chairs and BBQ, while the lower level which is accessed from the Master bedroom and hallway, has a fantastic fully tiled, outdoor shower area with hot water.
Off the courtyard is a washroom with a washing machine and space for beach kit, buckets and spades.

A beautiful cottage with lots of attention to detail!

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Carvossa. The cottage is beautiful, with lots of attention to detail, such as little biscuits for tea/coffee, poo bags for the dog, toiletries in the bathroom. Unfortunately the weather wasnt quite warm enough to use the outdoor shower, but it was really convenient to hose down our dog after a walk on the beach. The location of Marazion is ideal to explore the whole of Cornwall. A parking space was provided just a few minutes walk up the road. The cottage is within easy walking distance to the shops, cafés and pubs - the restaurant at the Godolphin Hotel was great. Worth mentioning that it is hilly - we had my 80 year old Dad with us. Although Marazion is busy with tourists, it is far less crowded than some places in Cornwall, and the beaches are great, both for humans and dogs. Highly recommend Carvossa and we will definitely come again. Thank you for making our stay so enjoyable.
