With a vibrant village atmosphere and a stunning dune-backed beach, Crantock is a dream coastal destination on Cornwall’s dramatic north coast, just two miles southwest of Newquay. Wedged between the Pentire Headland and the Gannel River Estuary, Crantock Beach boasts fine golden sand and crystal-clear surf making it ideal as an all-rounder for families and water-sports enthusiasts alike. Surrounded by a postcard-worthy slice of countryside which forms part of The National Trust, the area is strewn with meandering footpaths that offer visitors the opportunity to take in not only incredible sea views, but also the sights and sounds of a wealth of flora and fauna local to the area.

Positioned within just a short walk of its sandy stretch and just a short distance from the village’s pubs and restaurants, Wish You Were Here is a contemporary two-bedroom holiday home with an enclosed garden and hot tub, that offers families and couples a relaxing retreat in a fantastic seaside location. Open plan in design, its modern living area is airy and light; perfectly proportioned to include a dining space, lounge and kitchen, with double doors opening out to the patio and garden to allow the fresh sea air in. A lovely spot to soak up the Cornish sunshine or for relaxing with a post-beach drink, the outside space is furnished with a rattan suite and is completely enclosed so that guests who have their four-legged companions in tow can let them stretch their legs.

Upstairs are the property’s two tasteful bedrooms which comprise a master en suite with double bed and a second with twin zip and link beds that can be configured as super king size on request.. Both bedrooms feature a cool grey scheme with crisp white linen and large windows that lend a bright and airy feel, to create a peaceful place to retreat to after fun-filled days spent down on the beach.

Crantock village is home to a handful of good pubs and restaurants, the most frequented and popular of which being the traditional Old Albion Inn, and across the road the Cornishman and the fashionable C-Bay Cafe. Both the Old Albion and the Cornishman host many live music events. Across the river on the Pentire Headland, are the wonderful Sea Spray Café and The Fish House Fistral; easily accessed from May to September via the small foot ferry from the Gannel Estuary.

    Security Deposit: We ask our guests for a £200 good housekeeping bond, which is pre-authorised against your card. This is in case there is any damage to the property during your stay. The money is simply reserved (held as a pending transaction) and then released afterwards if there is no damage or additional cleaning. This will be held on the card on file 7 days prior to your arrival.
    Pets: 1 pet allowed (2 dogs are accepted on request), £30 per pet, per week, in line with our house rules we do ask that pets are not left alone in the property, do not use the furniture or go in the upstairs/bedroom areas. Pets must be fully vaccinated to include flea treatment.
    Number of steps: 1 external access step, 1 flight of internal stairs

    Linen & Towels: Bed linen is provided for your stay, however, if you require use of the travel cot you will need to bring your own cot linen. Each guest will be supplied with one hand towel and one bath towel for their stay. (if your holiday is longer than 10 days, please contact the Luxury Coastal team to discuss a mid-stay linen change). Please note that hot tub/beach towels are not provided.
    Wi-Fi: This property offers free Wi-Fi for guests, however, we cannot guarantee the speed and connectivity. Therefore, if you are planning to work during your holiday, we recommend bringing a wifi dongle.
    Coffee Machine: Nespresso pod coffee machine with milk frother

A range of high quality Procook cookware and utensils, Denby china and Stellar cutlery are provided along with appliances that include a Miele built-in multi-function electric oven, Miele four zone induction hob, an integrated fridge/freezer and a dishwasher, washing machine, double toaster, kettle, cafetiere, microwave, Nespresso pod coffee machine with milk frother. An iron and ironing board as well as vacuum cleaner are provided

    Incorporated into the lounge and kitchen, the dining area is furnished with a reclaimed timber dining table and four chairs

    Situated on the upper floor, decorated with bright sandy yellows and grey, this en suite room is tastefully furnished with a double 'Hypnos' brand bed with Pillow Top mattress, side tables with draws and reading lights, a built-in wardrobe, wall-mounted flat screen Smart TV, dressing table with mirror and hairdryer
    **This room does not have space for a travel cot, however Bedroom Two does and can be made up as a super king size

    Also located upstairs, decorated with heathery purples and pinks with grey, the second bedroom feels airy and bright and is furnished with twin zip and link 'Hypnos' brand beds with Pillow Top mattress beds that can be configured as super king size on request*. Additional furnishings include pedestal tables with drawers and lamps, built-in wardrobe, wall-mounted flat screen Smart TV, dressing table with mirror and hairdryer
    *please note that if super king size is required, the request will need to be done at least 14 days prior to arrival or the request cannot be accommodated.

An amazing property, fresh & modern, high quality appliances with the added bonus of a hot tub which was spotlessly clean. The garden was the perfect size, contained plenty of furniture which again was clean and smart. Its just a few minutes stroll away from the village with 2 pubs and a pizza restaurant then a further 5 minutes to the beautiful beach of Crantock, We were a family of 4 with a small dog. We would certainly stay again.

A perfect Christmas break

Superbly clean, comfortable and well equipped. We spent the Christmas week at the cottage and loved every minute of it. We enjoyed walks to the beach - literally down the hill - not even 10 min walk; we even enjoyed an invigorating swim on Christmas Day. We did a few runs both along the cliffs and to Holywell bay along the road - hilly but bucolic. We were left delicious treats by our host - even down to the personal touch on the Christmas cake - thank you! The hot tub was a perfect way to end the day after walking and running. We (including our pup) couldn’t have asked for more!

Lovely, modern new build accommodation minutes walk from Crantock village, dog friendly with a secure garden. Lovely walk to the beach which is amazing. Clean accommodation with comfortable beds. Lovely welcome pack of cream tea which was very much appreciated. We will certainly look to return when we can.

A lovely little home from home

A lovely little home from home. The cottage was very well equiped with everything you might need. It is within easy walking distance of Crantock beach on a lovely little quiet private development. We were welcomed on arrival with cream teas and Easter Eggs for both the children, a lovely little touch. Had a wonderful stay, would definitely recommend. We will be returning.

Little Gem!

We found this delightful property in Crantock was spotlessly clean , extremely well equipped and a real ‘ home from home’ The newly installed hot tub was a bonus and the secure enclosed garden was super for our little dog. Everything was as described and we were pre warned about ongoing road/site work which didn’t impact our stay apart from us worrying about bringing the dust and mess from outside the front area into the property. We stayed on for an extra day which was easy to arrange via email and look forward to coming back in the not too distant future
