Crab Cottage is a beautifully renovated, superbly spacious pet-friendly home with gorgeous furnishings and a fabulous garden. A lovely master bedroom with double bed and an en-suite bathroom rest on the lower ground floor. Upstairs, the living room is both tastefully styled and comfortably furnished, with a wood-burning stove and underfloor heating for the cooler months. French doors open out to the attractive tiered garden which creates that all-important indoor/outdoor living, and a spacious kitchen/diner off the lounge is fully equipped for home cooking and entertaining.

The garden’s lower terrace is furnished with an outdoor suite so you can while away the hours in the sunshine, with a bench on the top patio being the perfect place to sit and enjoy a glass of bubbly while watching the sun set over the sea.

Characterised by narrow winding lanes, granite cottages and sparkling views over the bay, Mousehole is a magical place which, for its size, has a surprising number of excellent eateries, lifestyle shops and galleries. The postcard-perfect harbour is a couple of minutes’ walk from the cottage and here you can enjoy a refreshing sea swim, sunbathing or a stroll along the seawall with an ice-cream. For farther-flung adventure, Mounts Bay offers plenty to do and see, with Marazion’s big sandy beach and St Michael’s Mount being just 20 minutes by car, and the wonderful Porthcurno and The Minack Theatre being just 25 minutes’ drive.

This is in case there is any damage to the property during your stay. The money is simply reserved and then released afterward if there is no damage. Alternatively, a one-off, non-refundable Accidental Damage Waiver of £30 can be added to your booking to replace the Good Housekeeping Bond and can be added as an extra when processing your booking.

BBQ: A charcoal BBQ is stored in the shed which is available for guest use. Guests will need to supply their own charcoal

*The washing machine is housed in a cupboard off the bedroom

We loved Crab Cottage, and we loved Mousehole. Well-equipped, stylish and comfortable, the cottage was perfect for resting after our busy days out and about. It is quiet and peaceful, no traffic noise at all. Mousehole as a location is idyllic - not much going on, but that's the attraction! There are a couple of great pubs, cafes and restaurants, enough to enjoy for the week we stayed. Lots of great walks close-by for us and our dog. Parking takes a little consideration, but is not the huge drama it is made out to be. The large car park just outside of town always had space, so we were never stuck.

We had a lovely stay at Crab cottage. Excellent location in Mousehole, just behind the harbour, steps away from the sea and with sea glimpses from the terraced garden. Beautifully appointed cottage, spacious and comfortable. So many great places to eat and drink in Mousehole and with easy reach of Newlyn and Penzance. We enjoyed walks along the coast path to Lamorna Cove and beyond. A perfect stay.
