Overview

With a beautiful sandy beach, village atmosphere and views of St Michaels Mount from every angle, Marazion is a truly special place for holidays on Cornwall’s west coast.

Ty Bryn sits on Higher Fore Street, around 800 metres from the main beach, with the South West Coast Path right on the doorstep. Penzance, Newlyn and Mousehole are all within easy reach by car, while Perranuthnoe and Praa Sands are within 20 minutes’ drive. Together with its fantastic location, stunning sea views, lovely décor and outdoor space, the cottage is the perfect base for exploring the coastline. Days can be filled with walks, paddle boarding, swimming and sunbathing, while trips to St Michael’s Mount and its beautiful gardens, add to the experience.

A cottage for all seasons, Ty Bryn’s living room has a wood-burner for warming up in front of after blustery beach strolls during the cooler months, as well as a Smart TV for entertainment on rainy afternoons. From the terrace and private balcony, there’s a magnificent outlook across Mount’s Bay, with a close-up view of St Michael’s Mount taking centre stage. And it’s one you can enjoy throughout the day whether breakfasting alfresco, enjoying sundowners or relaxing outside in the late evening. On those nights when you don’t fancy cooking, wander two doors up to The Fire Engine Inn for a pub lunch, or have an afternoon siesta at the cottage before heading into town for supper.

If you feel like further-afield exploration, drive north to St Ives Bay where the sandy beaches of Hayle Towans, Gwithian and St Ives lie. In the other direction, Porthcurno and The Minack Theatre as well as Land’s End, are must-visit attractions.

Welcome to Marazion

Something about Marazion reminds us of a fairytale. With the enchanting sight of St Michaels Mount looming high above the sea and two shimmering sandy beaches, Marazion holidays are the ultimate escape from it all. The oldest town in Cornwall, this is a place of myth and legend, where ancient cottages perch on hillsides and the sound of laughter drifts from friendly pubs. The streets of the town favour quirky boutiques over chains, and the cafes don’t disappoint when it comes to fresh, local produce and hearty portions.
