Overview

A mere 10-minutes from the coast yet away from the bustle, this gorgeous countryside cottage is as perfect for dog-friendly beach holidays as it is for quiet escapism. Light and airy, with exposed granite walls, vaulted ceilings, and original artwork, the cottage feels spacious, bright and modern, with pared-back styling and boutique accents throughout. A large, fully kitted-out kitchen and two dining areas give everyone plenty of room to cook and gather for breakfast or dinner, with the adjoining lounge creating a cosy place for movie nights and popcorn.

There are two double en-suite bedrooms, making Cuthberts an excellent choice for couples and families. Both are tastefully styled and beautifully furnished, with big, comfortable beds to ensure a good night’s sleep. Tucked away at the back of the cottage, a sunny patio and garden invite guests to take in the views to the sound of birdsong, while relaxing in the fresh air. Surrounded by traditional Cornish stone walls and open countryside beyond, it's the perfect place for coffees, evening drinks, and all-day relaxation.

With fantastic attractions all within easy reach, guests can explore a different part of West Cornwall every day. Spend time on Marazion’s beautiful beach and visit St Michael's Mount (just a 10-minute drive). Take a trip to Penzance for a swim in the heated lido or enjoy a harbourside lunch in Newlyn (around a 15-minute drive away). Wine-taste at Polgoon Vineyard, enjoy lovely walks around Tremenheere Sculpture Gardens, Trengwainton (National Trust), and Trewidden Garden, or stroll around the narrow streets of Mousehole, taking in scenes of its picturesque harbour lined with pretty stone cottages (25 minutes by car). On the opposite coastline, the beaches of St Ives Bay await, with Hayle Towans, Gwithian, Carbis Bay and St Ives flaunting miles of sand and turquoise blue water.

Pets: 2 dogs allowed. £40 per dog, per week, in line with our house rules we do ask that dogs are not left alone in the property, do not use the furniture or go in the bedroom areas

Linen & Towels: Bed linen is provided for your stay, however, if you require use of the travel cot you will need to bring your own cot linen. There are two dining areas at Cuthberts. The main dining table with seating for four sits within the kitchen, while a second table in the living area provides another place to gather for meals or a boardgame

Two steps down from the kitchen, Bedroom Two has a king size bed, bedside tables and lamps, a wardrobe, mirror and hairdryer. French doors open onto the outside walkway, and the bedroom also has an en-suite shower room

Set over two levels, the lower patio is furnished with a rattan sofa, chairs and table, making it a lovely spot for outdoor dining or relaxing in the sunshine. Above, there’s a lawn which is enclosed and has fantastic countryside views
Parking
Two allocated parking spaces are available in the shared gravel parking area. These are the first two spaces on the left as you enter the site, directly in front of the barn
