Who would’ve thought that a humble, disused barn could be reimagined into such an uber cool pad?

The perfect hideout for two, the Bolt can be found off the beaten track in a wild and rustic countryside setting; for the most part undiscovered and yet within only four minute’s-drive from the town of Wells. Designed around its original features there’s a distinctly urban feel to the space, with split-level polished concrete flooring and steel beams contrasting the interior’s plush retro styling. A contemporary wood burning stove, underfloor heating and chic furnishings add to the luxury of the open plan living area, while a modern kitchen complete with a cooker, fridge, and dishwasher means guests get to enjoy their time alone in complete comfort. A large folding door makes the most of the beautiful setting and rural views, flooding the home with natural light and inviting the fresh country air inside, and the deliberately darker colour palette that adorns the walls creates a romantic, sultry mood throughout. Carefully positioned lighting brings a unique atmosphere to every area within the space, and a gorgeous master bedroom featuring a king size bed and bespoke cowrie shell chandelier; fashions a sumptuous retreat that’s perfectly suited to lazy mornings and breakfasts in bed.

Outdoors there’s plenty more on offer with a spacious slate patio being the perfect place to enjoy the sunshine. Grab a throw and relax on a sun-lounger with a good book, or spend hours soaking in your own private hot tub without a care in the world.
