Overview

Tucked away on a quiet lane in the heart of Newlyn, this traditional two-bedroom fisherman’s cottage is moments from the harbour, with Penzance, St Michael's Mount, and the pretty village of Mousehole close by.

Inside, there’s a cosy living room with an electric stove for cooler evenings, and a lovely kitchen and dining area where you can cook and gather for meals after a day out exploring. Upstairs, the main bedroom is particularly roomy, with a little window seat looking down the lane, while the second bedroom has twin beds and is ideal for children or friends sharing.

Newlyn is a proper Cornish fishing port, with a working harbour surrounded by galleries, independent shops and a good choice of places to eat. Woodbine Cottage is ideally positioned in the town, with restaurants like the Tolcarne Inn, The Swordfish Inn, Argoe and Mackerel Sky Seafood Bar within 5-minutes’ walk from the front door. You can stroll along the seafront, follow the coast path to Mousehole or head into Penzance for a wander around the shops and a swim at the fabulous lido. There’s plenty to enjoy around Mount’s Bay, from beach days and rock pooling to coastal walks and trips to Marazion and St Michael’s Mount. If you fancy exploring a little further, the Lands End Coaster is a lovely way to take in more of this stretch of the Cornish coast.
