Set within a picturesque corner of Somerset’s tranquil countryside, the historic town of Wells is just four minutes’ drive away and offers the option of boutique-style shopping excursions and fine dining, for those guests who are keen to venture out. The property itself is remote and offers a unique space from which to enjoy the sweeping landscape. Positioned within wild meadows and farmland its design allows it to seamlessly blend in, with the open plan layout flooding the space with natural light and fresh country air. Inside, the polished concrete flooring is heated underfoot, with an eclectic mix of retro styling and industrial chic contrasting the soft, tactile furnishings. Darker wall hues and bespoke lighting reflect off the architectural steel beams, and the modern kitchen with open plan dining area provides the perfect space to create and share meals together. Stretch out on the sofa in front of the wood burning stove and enjoy cosy evenings in; or snuggle up together and have your very own movie night in. The Beam has a wonderful master bedroom that’s complete with a comfy king size bed, reclaimed wooden bed frame and cowry shell chandelier; and the sleek en-suite bathroom with large walk-in shower and rain head adds a further touch of luxury.

Tucked away in a corner of the private patio area is a bubbling hot tub and bistro table with seating; perfect for al fresco dining, or for enjoying a glass of wine together under the night sky.

Good Housekeeping Bond or Accidental Damage Waiver
We ask our guests for a £100 Good Housekeeping Bond, pre-authorised against your credit card. This is in case there is any damage to the property during your stay. The money is simply reserved and then released afterward if there is no damage. We will contact you nearer the time of your arrival to arrange this.
Alternatively, a one-off, nonrefundable Accidental Damage Waiver of £30 can be added to your booking to replace the Good Housekeeping Bond and can be added as an extra when processing your booking.
Pets: 1 dog allowed. £40 per pet, per week, in line with our house rules we do ask that pets are not left alone in the property, do not use the furniture or go in the bedroom areas

The best accommodation we have had!

Myself and my husband booked a Monday-Friday trip at the Beam for our 3 year wedding anniversary. From arrival to departure we were so impressed! The little touches really made it feel homely (such as the speaker, dressing gowns etc..) and there was nothing that we didn't have. The accommodation is stunning - industrial feel but also very modern. Although you are based on land with other accommodation, it feels very private. The hot tub was gorgeous, private and well maintained. Emily and Graham were lovely hosts and nothing was too much trouble. They provided us great recommendations for food and things so do and their lovely dog saying hello to us when arriving/leaving was adorable! We will 10000% be back here.

We had a lovely 3 night stay at the beam. My only points to mention were: 1) was told the hot tub would be treated at 9.15 each morning but didnt happen once. 2) the sofa is so soft, it offered no support. 3) No where you put my dogs poo bags, to be fair, I think the owner did come in at some point and move the bags, maybe a sign required. 4) I called to check what coffee pods to bring, purchased some only to find the accommodation already supplied them. Other than this, I would definitely recommend this accommodation to stay at and we had a very relaxing time.

We had a really nice stay at The Beams. A well laid out unit with everything you could need. The hosts were great and put a fan in before our arrival following a request from us. Hot tub was great addition. We will be returning.
