Overview

Set within 240 gorgeous acres in the heart of Exmoor National Park, Honey Cott is a delightful two-bedroom stone barn conversion with its own private garden and is ideal if you’re a family of four with dogs in tow. Just a short drive from the heart of the medieval town of Dunster as well as the coast, means swimming and sunbathing can be followed by tea and cake, or a stroll round the fabulous Dunster Castle and its gorgeous gardens.

Beautifully renovated, Honey Cott is tastefully yet simply furnished with a light-filled open plan living room, dining area and kitchen on the ground floor. Garden views bring nature inside and you can relax with a holiday read on leather sofas or enjoy evenings watching a movie on the flat screen TV. Rustle up a full English breakfast or Sunday roast in the fully equipped modern kitchen, which when the weather’s warm, you can enjoy eating in the south-facing garden to the front of the cottage. A shared orchard offers stunning views across the landscape, and here you can enjoy a walk, picnic or a nap under the shade of a tree. Upstairs there are two comfortable bedrooms, a master king (with access to a patio area in the garden) and a twin, as well as a family bathroom with a bathtub and shower over.

One of the highlights of a stay at Allercott is the opportunity for outdoorsy escapades right on the doorstep. Guests are also invited to roam the farm and explore, with footpaths meandering through the farmland and one even leading to the lost village of Clicket in the valley, which was last inhabited just over 100 years ago.
