Beautifully styled and superbly well-equipped, Emerald strikes just the right balance between airy elegance and home-from-home convenience.

Positioned on the second floor and with wonderful sea views, there's a balcony for taking in the ever-changing moods of the sky and water as well as two lovely bedrooms, a large living room and a fully equipped kitchen.

A large entrance hall welcomes guests inside where a coast-inspired colour palette of whites and blues as well as lavish accents of brass and leather lend a breathy, away-from-it-all quality to the home. Glazed French doors invite the sea air in, with the sound of waves on the beach below creating an ambient soundtrack for lazy mornings spent relaxing on the patio; perfect for enjoying a morning coffee or an evening G&T. In the living room, a sumptuous sofa and large-screen TV (complete with Netflix and Sky Stream with Sports, Disney Plus, Paramount Plus, Cinema and SkyKids) combine to create a dreamy place for winding down in after sun-splashed days on the beach or in the water, while both the apartment's inviting bedrooms offer superior mattresses and crisp linen to ensure that sleep is both deep and comfortable. A second set of French doors leading out to the balcony can be found in the master bedroom and along with its super en-suite bathroom and king size bed, its the perfect place for couples and parents in need of their own private sanctuaries.

Adding to the apartment's repertoire of fabulous space, a gorgeous kitchen with its array of appliances and vast amounts of worktop lends itself beautifully to home cooking while the breakfast nook and seating invites convivial mornings discussing the day's plans over eggs and bacon. Two luxury bathrooms; a family with a large walk-in shower and the en-suite with its bathtub and shower over, are ideal for four guests, so there's no waiting in line for post-beach de-sanding or a pre-dinner freshen up.

Outside to the front of the building, there’s a communal garden to enjoy, and the apartment comes with its own parking which is an absolute bonus. Just a few minutes’ walk away, guests are able to hop aboard the little train on the St Erth line which journeys scenically to St Ives. Here, a host of lovely eating out options are on offer as well as the town’s culture-crammed shops, pretty harbour and iconic Tate art museum.

We all had a lovely holiday very relaxing despite the weather the views were amazing. When you take a walk down to the beach, theres a shortcut. Please make sure you know how to use the fob it took us a couple of days needs to be explained, more thoroughly in the information book apart from that we had a wonderful time.

A lovely apartment but it does need more attention being paid to its cleanliness. There is always evidence of dust/fluff around the place especially on the floors. The bedding is really overdue for replacement - its dingy and no longer white. For the cost we pay it should be better. We really really like staying in this apartment but it does need a little better TLC.

Fantastic location not everything was as it said it would be on arrival welcome package or even coffee pods? Wardrobe door was off its runners in the main bedroom and for the price that we have paid it should have been spotless .

A super apartment for beach goers, great location but the housekeeping needs to be much improved

Let's get the negatives out of the way first...... This has been brought up in previous reviews and for the sake of future guests this needs to be addressed. Overall the general cleanliness was ok but the bedding needs to be deep cleaned (ie hot wash) it smelled - like it had not been washed, very beddy smell that lingered all week. It really is the attention to detail that needs to be looked at for a 'luxury stay', just missing a few essentials...hand wash, anti bac spray, foil, broom (is a must for the sand) and a clothes horse/dryer (if only to use inside the apartment). I would urge LC to address these issues as they have come up in reviews before and yes housekeeping will address if notified but it shouldn't be that way, not at these prices. That's the negatives...... The positives are that the apartment is fabulous, the main bed is incredibly comfortable (huge), bathrooms are luxurious, the sofa is very comfortable (this doesn't happen very often in rentals) and the place is in a great location for many attractions in the area, hop on the train (behind the apartment) which is less than an five min walk up the hill and there it will take you directly to St Ives a few mins away. Carbis Bay is merely a short walk down the hill - windbreaker is provided, with a bucket and spade and boules too. I think they may have a couple of beach chairs too. Walters on the beach (restaurant) down on the seafront is pretty good for a top end meal, so many great restaurants in St Ives but do book before you go, sadly the Thai you cannot but would absolutely recommend, you need to get there for 6pm ish to get your name on the waiting list. The Spanish restaurant in Carbis Bay (top of town) also very good. Overall we would recommend the place but please LC address the issues......

Regarding the missing essentials, thank you for highlighting these. While Emerald is a self-catering property, we do provide basic supplies to get guests started, such as hand wash and toilet rolls. However, we understand that items like anti-bac spray, foil, a broom (especially useful for sand), and a clothes horse can make a big difference. We’ll be reviewing our standard inventory to ensure these are consistently available moving forward. We also appreciate your point that guests shouldn’t have to report these issues during their stay. Sometimes things can be regrettably missed in changeovers, and we always want guests to have a great stay and the opportunity to rectify any issues during guests stay. On a brighter note, we’re so pleased to hear that you found the apartment fabulous, the main bed incredibly comfortable, and the bathrooms luxurious. It’s great to know the sofa was a hit too. We're also glad you enjoyed the location and the thoughtful beach items provided. Thank you for sharing your local tips as well, those restaurant recommendations and travel suggestions are fantastic and will be very helpful to future guests.

We have been visiting this apartment block for 10 years and stayed in many different apartments. Emerald is definitely one of the better ones. Car park level handy for transferring luggage. Very comfortable super king bed and quality fixtures and fittings throughout, uncluttered and very tastefully furnished. Sky TV was a bonus for rainy days. We would prefer black out lined curtains, the balcony is very overlooked and the outdoor furniture isnt very comfortable, however that said, these are small personal niggles and you cant please everyone! We will definitely be returning to Emerald

Emerald is perfectly located and the views are incredible. Emerald is a comfortable apartment and a great base for exploring this beautiful part of Cornwall. There are good restaurants, takeaways and supermarkets within a short distance and we would highly recommend Becks Fish and Chips, particularly for Coeliacs as their gluten free fish and chips are a real treat. Its also very convenient to be able to walk to Carbis Bay station and catch the train to St. Ives, so good to wander around the town and enjoy lunch or coffee and cake. Kerry was extremely helpful with a couple of issues we had on arrival - please note you do not need a parking permit for your car anymore! We look forward to our next visit to Carbis Beach Apartments.

We have just returned from another fabulous week at The Emerald apartment. The location is just wonderful Views to die from and sea views even from bed! Great showers and loads of natural light and space. Comfiest huge sofa & well equipped kitchen. Lovely housekeeper Kerry who quickly responded to/sorted a few issues we encountered upon arrival. Parking on site & the option to pay for a second space is a huge bonus. We had great weather - first week of May, but our balcony didnt get the sun. The cleaning needs more attention and cushions & covers on the single beds need deep cleaning/replacing to maintain the high standards here. Washing machine/dryer so useful, especially as we like clean towels daily. Seeing the train pass our kitchen window always brings a smile to our faces. Friends love everything about the Emerald too. Very adult orientated. Highly recommended, but beware the prices fluctuate hugely from week to week and some of the best weather can be in the cheaper weeks. Wed like to spend Christmas there one year. Love how close to Carbis Bay beach and hotel this accommodation is. Sunday lunch at the hotel (window seat) is a beautiful thing! Reasonably priced too. Book well in advance though.

Youve rightly pointed out that the cleaning could use more attention, and the cushions and covers on the single beds need maintenance, the passing train outside your kitchen window sounds charming! Adult-Oriented: Its interesting that The Emerald caters to an adult audience. Price Fluctuations: Being aware of price fluctuations is essential, especially when planning a stay. We have stayed at Emerald in the past when it was listed with Sykes and the last review we did on it was 2 years ago. We mentioned it was looking a little not up to standard so we were surprised this time that it was still as it was. Floor of wardrobes dirty, paintwork dirty especially on the ensuite bathroom door which is covered in dirty marks. Crumbs in the cutlery drawer.The blind in the kitchen and small bedroom are both broken. Apart from these things which are so easily rectified it's a lovely apartment with easy access to the beach and train station.

A stunning apartment with views to die for over beautiful Carbis Bay. Best location we have stayed in as the beach was in easy walking distance, perfect! Apartment was spacious and very tastefully decorated. Only slight negative: it could have been cleaned to a higher standard.

We loved the location and space this fabulous sea view apartment provided us with. Large attractive kitchen over-looking the branch line and listening to the waves from bed were perfect Views to die for. Huge leather corner sofa was SO roomy and comfy for 4 of us Adored the balcony Parking on the level behind the apartment was ideal Only downside was the lift wasnt working and its a steep walk back from the beach and to the branch line station
